Once feared as the doorman and guardian of Mexico City’s iconic daytime party, Sunday Sunday, LiCausi has proven himself a fearless selector and master of the craft. His time working in the underground scene of Mexico’s capital shaped a fine character and taste in him, becoming not a crowd-pleaser but a fine captivator of the dance floor. Working as a producer led him to eventually become a resident dj and share the booth with figures like Ian Poley, DJ Tennis, Chloé Caillet, Bárbara Boeing, and an iconic b2b with Fred Again during his Sunday Sunday debut in 2024. Driven by a deep passion for the human mind and its unparalleled capacity for creativity, he gravitates toward the rebellious spectrum of electronic music, where ideas intertwine and evolve within their contemporary context. His sound crosses all eras of house and techno with contagious energy and precise mixes, from vinyl bootlegs to SoundCloud edits and everything in between. As the founder of Club Alegría, he expands his role beyond the booth into that of cultural intermediary and promoter, creating bridges between Mexico and London’s underground. Through the project, he has brought talent from Mexico into respected spaces such as Corsica Studios, The Bath House, Gaffe and Venue MOT — positioning Club Alegría as both a platform and a statement of intent.
