The BoAt Pod Collective CIC

The BoAt Pod Collective is a Community Interest Company: a not-for-profit social enterprise that exists to benefit the community. Founded aboard our narrowboat studio in Little Venice, it carries forward the spirit The BoAt Pod was built on: independent, welcoming and powered by a love of music and creativity.

Our aims

• Open doors to creativity. We make broadcasting, recording and multimedia production accessible to people who might not otherwise get the chance, whether they’re just starting out or ready for their next step.
• Champion new talent. We give emerging artists, DJs, producers and presenters a platform to be heard, and support them to build lasting creative careers.
• Build skills and confidence. Through workshops, mentoring and hands-on sessions in podcasting, radio and music production, we help people develop practical skills in communication, teamwork, digital production and media.
• Reach under-represented voices. We actively welcome young people, under-represented groups and aspiring creators, and we work to make sure our programmes reflect the diversity of the communities around us.
• Strengthen our community. We connect local people, artists and organisations in Little Venice, Paddington and beyond through shared creative projects, events and broadcasts.

Putting community first

As a CIC, any surplus we make is reinvested in our community work: in accessible training, equipment, facilities and new opportunities for creators. Not in private profit.
